Crunchyroll Manga App Announced For 2025. Everything You Need To Know

Crunchyroll, the go-to platform for anime fans, is now aiming to become a complete destination for the animanga community.

Alongside streaming anime, Crunchyroll has announced its upcoming Crunchyroll Manga app, offering fans a legal and dedicated space to enjoy their favorite manga.

The news was revealed during Sony Group Corporation’s recent press conference, where Crunchyroll confirmed that the app would launch as a premium add-on service.

Crunchyroll Manga App Release Date

While an exact release date hasn’t been announced yet, the platform is targeting a late 2025 rollout. Initially, the app will be available in English for users in the United States and Canada. Plans for accessibility in other languages and on web browsers are expected to be shared in the near future.

The announcement of the Crunchyroll Manga app comes shortly after news of the upcoming Ghost of Tsushima anime, further highlighting Crunchyroll’s efforts to expand its offerings.

This isn’t Crunchyroll’s first foray into manga, as the platform previously launched a similar service in 2013, which offered manga from top publishers. However, the earlier service was discontinued in 2023.

Crunchyroll’s President, Rahul Purini, hinted during the press conference that the app will feature works from renowned manga creators.

Fans are already excited about what the platform has in store, especially with the promise of premium content and a more robust service.

By bringing manga into its ecosystem, Crunchyroll is not only offering more value to its users but also encouraging creators to produce unique and engaging chapters. With this move, Crunchyroll is set to become an even stronger player in the animanga world, catering to fans of all kinds.
