Jujutsu Kaisen series is beyond amazing and it’s actually not too far behind Demon Slayer in terms of game changer within shounen scene. Having a main protagonist who is basically in a suicide mission is such a unique concept. For example, with Deku he strives to become no. 1 hero. Tanjiro wants to kill off Muzan. Asta wants to become the Wizard King.
As for Yuji he simply wants to consume these cursed fingers and ultimately kill himself to prevent Sukun from coming. Yuji was looking for a meaning in his life and he concluded of exchanging his life to stop evil.
Not many Shounen series follow the same concept where you know the main character will die. But Jujutsu Kaisen surprised us with the unknown and has intrigued us to find out what will happen with Yuji.
