In Demon Slayer there are demons who hunt humans to get stronger and ofcourse there are demon slayers who are on the mission of erasing the demons. Becoming a demon slayer is very challenging and a person with weak heart or not strong enough can’t pull this off. However, Zenitsu, a demon slayer, is always scared or keeps on crying whenever there’s a demon nearby him.
Being a demon slayer, Zenitsu should be fearless but he is just the opposite of that. Despite passing the final selection exam, Zenitsu is always scared of getting caught by a demon.
The reason behind why Zenitsu cry or feel scared when up against a demon:
This could be explained by looking at his role in the series. Every Shōnen anime has a comic relief character who do funny things during serious moments to lighten the mood and Zenitsu is one of those comic relief character in Demon slayer.
Basically, it is Zenitsu’s responsibility to lighten up the mood in Demon Slayer. He is not only just a comic relief character but also shows how watchers would react if they were in the anime.
Imagine watching Demon Slayer with every slayer behaving just like Tanjiro when up again a demon. Would that make it intresting? Of course not but that’s not the only reason why Zenitsu cry and get scare when encounter a demon.
When it comes to combat, Zenitsu only knows one move (in anime). He has mastered Thunder Breathing Style first form to the best and that’s the only thing he has. Thinking about it makes him even more worried, i mean probably, we don’t know. That move has enough strength to chop even high rank demons with easy.
