Liverpool Footballer Celebrated The Goal With AOT Reference | “Shinzou Wo Sasageyo”

Anime refrences in national or international sports are getting common these days. Every month we see an athelete channeling their favourite anime character, doing some legendary anime pose while on the grand stage. This time fans spotted a Footballer from team Liverpool doing “Shinzou Wo Sasageyo ” pose showing reference to Attack on Titan (AOT) anime after scoring a goal against Man City.

On April 16, FA Cup semi-final match between Liverpool and Man City took place. The match was interesting and Liverpool made it to the finals by winning it 3-2. The celebration was indeed great and to make it even better, footballer Ibrahima Konaté did a legendary pose showing reference to AOT anime after scoring a goal.

While the pose seems like a respectful salute, it has deep meaning in Attack on Titan anime. This pose is recognised as “Shinzou Wo Sasageyo” and it means to “dedicate your heart”.

Ibrahima Konaté is a huge anime fan. He’s routinely referenced Dragon Ball, One Piece and other anime on his Twitter account. He’s had a great debut season and that celebration during the match just made it more better.

The 2022 FA Cup final will see Liverpool play against Chelsea and it will take place on Saturday May 14, 2022. What are you rooting for? Comment down and share your thoughts.
