We all know how popular Solo Leveling has gotten after the anime adaptation of its Manhwa. This popularity certainly has attracted weird fans that don’t hold back and start sending threats to authors or voice artists whenever something is not going their way.
Aleks Le, the voice behind Jinwoo in the English dub, has been bombarded with threatening messages online, all revolving around the crucial “Arise” scene in the finale. Fans are demanding perfection in delivering the line “Arise”.
Here is the type of message Aleks Le is receiving: “If you don’t say ARISE correct I swear I WILL FIND YOU and after that Sung Jin-woo wouldn’t bring you back.”
The voice actor handled this situation in humorous way. He took this to tiktok and made a video stating:
“You’re excited. You’re nervous. I get it, but here’s the thing. I’m not talking about the comments that are politely asking me to do a good job. No, not those.” He then warned, “If you keep spamming my comment section with threats, if you keep making threats to me about this scene, I’m gonna change it to, ‘Wake up.’ I’m gonna change it to ‘wakey wakey’… I’m gonna change it to ‘get up buddy… it’s time for school.”
At the end of the video, the voice actor requested fans to stay calm and not get overly hyped. Later Aleks Le removed the video from his TikTok account because it was getting unnecessary attention in a wrong way.
