Sunghoo Park was the director of Jujutsu Kaisen season 1 & JJK 0 at Mappa and he did his work perfectly. Now that Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 is coming, he might not be the director of anime anymore. Shunghoo Park has established his own animation studio and left MAPPA as a long time freelancer and director of some big titles like Jujutsu Kaisen.
Jujutsu Kaisen was the most well-received anime of its airing years, not only in Japan but in other countries as well. The anime viewership broke many records and fans loved how Shunghoo Park directed the episodes. During his work as a director for Jujutsu Kaisen, he established his own animation studio.
Shunghoo Park worked with MAPPA as a freelancer on many projects. He was associated with Mappa from a long time and worked as a director for Jujutsu Kaisen season 1 and it’s prequel movie. Not just Jujutsu Kaisen but Shunghoo Park worked on anime like, God of Highschool and Yuri!!! on ice.
Moreover, there’s no confirmation about Shunghoo’s working as a director for Jujutsu Kaisen season 2. But let’s just wait for the official announcement.
In March 2021, Shunghoo Park, the director of Jujutsu Kaisen, established his animation production studio, E&H production. He was more focused on directing Jujutsu kaisen season 1 and JJK 0 movie, after completing the project he decided to resume his studio work now.
Shunghoo Park’s studio introduction stated that it wants to challenge original animation works and new production processes. Not limited to animation production, and intends to take action in the fields of game engines, VR and life shooting.
According to the recently released production progress of Shunghoo’s animation production studio, it currently has 8 members. The studio is looking for more experienced and focused employees to expand themselves.
