The franchise of Jujutsu kaisen kicked into high gear as the new JJK movie premiered in Japan and made a huge whooping 8.74 million USD on it’s first-day. It didn’t just end there, “Jujutsu Kaisen 0” won the Excellent Animation Award at the 45th Japan Academy Prize.

This time, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Movie is among the excellent animation award winners in the 45th Japan Academy Film Prize.
Alongside the announcement of the nominees for the 45th Annual Japan Academy Film Prize, the academy also revealed the winners of the special awards. The list of excellent animation of the year winners in the 45th Japan Academy Film Prize:
- Sing a Bit of Harmony
- Fortune Favors Lady Nikuko
- Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie
- Evangelion 3.0+1.01: Thrice Upon a Time
- Belle
They are also contesting for the Best Animation of the Year award. The ceremony for the 45th Japan Academy Film Prize scheduled for March 11.
Last year Demon Slayer: Mugen Train anime movie won the Best Animation of the Year award. Violet Evergarden: The Movie and Stand by Me Doraemon 2 were also the part of the nominee list of last year. It was Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train that took the throne and became best animation of the year.
