Toei Animation, the studio famous for animating Dragon Ball, One Piece and many other famous big titles was illegally accessed by a third party recently. This cyber invasion caused them to shutdown their online store. Furthermore, there will be delay in the anime airing shedule of Toei Animation due to being hacked.
On March 7, Toei Animation revealed in an official statement that their website was hacked and they discovered it on March 6.
As for user’s personal details, and internal paper work, Toei Animation is currently doing investigation alongside a specialized security company.
However this cyber invasion did affect the anime airing shedule of Toei Animation. In the recent press article, Toei Animation deeply apologized to all the long-awaited fans for their concern every week. Additionally they also revealed that the cyber invasion will affect the airing schedule of TV animations “Dragon Quest Dai no Daibouken”, “Delicious Party ♡ Precure”, “Digimon Ghost Game”, and “ONE PIECE”.
Nikkei reported, the company has refused to reveal any details regarding the confirmation of unauthorized access and detailed measures.
“We cannot currently answer anything beyond what is stated in the released statement,” said Toei.
Toei Animation is one of the biggest name in anime industry. There are many big projects that they are currently working on. That includes, upcoming Dragon Ball Super movie and TV series like One Piece.
