Wit Studio, CloverWorks, Aniplex, Shueisha Launching Anime Company JOEN

An anime company named JOEN is formed by the combine forces of Wit Studio, CloverWorks, Shueisha, and anime producer Aniplex. The company is aiming to create high quality animation while ensuring studios and creators reward in line with what they produce.

On Monday, May 30, Publishing giant Shueisha announced the new company, JOEN established by teaming up with Wit Studio, CloverWorks and Aniplex. There is a deep meaning in the company name JOEN and they explained it well in the website.

The company name JOEN itself shows the combined forces of Wit Studio, CloverWorks, Shueisha and Aniplex. Here is how, the name JOEN derived from the word JOIN. Now, Imagine if one were to add three stripes to the “I” in JOIN. This would transform the “I” into an “E”, turning JOIN into JOEN.

These three stripes are “Animation Studio”, “Producer” and “Publisher”. In animation studio both CloverWorks and Wit Studio are doing their role. In producer, Aniplex is doing what they do and the Publisher is Shueisha.

Through the incorporation of these three tenets, the company will play a supporting role, and smooth connections between organizations.

JOEN aims to the increase role of animation studios in the production process of an anime and to distribute profits directly among those who involved in the animation studio.

This might be a big step in animation industry. Feel free to comment down and let us know what do you think, also don’t forget to share this article with your friends.
