Attack on Titan: Founding Titan parasite existed in real life millions of years ago

This is shocking and intriguing at the same time as how The Founding Titan Parasite from Attack on Titan was a real thing which roamed in the oceans million of years ago. The parasite is known as “Hallucigenia” in real life and it’s funny how Attack on Titan Fans are comparing the founding Titan parasite with Hallucigenia.

The founding Titan parasite debuted in 5th episode of Attack on Titan Final season part 2. It was Ymir who discovered the founding Titan parasite and became a Titan afterwards.

She was running for her life and ended up merging with the parasite inside a big tree. After the merging she received the powers of founding Titan from the unknown parasite. It’s just intresting how the founding Titan parasite resembles with “Hallucigenia” and fans are making theories about this.

Attack on Titan Parasite Resemblance With Hallucigenia

As Hallucigenia is an ancient seaworm, this would make sense that Eren Kruger refers to the Eldian founder Ymir “touching the source of all organic matter” in manga Chapter 88 and thus gaining her powers.

Hallucigenia had around ten pairs of legs. If you compare it with founding Titan parasite you can clearly see the resemblance. The manga and anime counterpart of the parasite also has 10 legs.

The author of Attack in Titan gave Hallucigenia a power that allows it to create a symbiosis with a host. By doing that, the parasite can modify the DNA of the host (human). Which as a result gives Human the access to a hive mind of sorts in an astral plane. Accessing the astral plane, host can build titan bodies using astral plane material which controlled by the host with an intelligent mind.

But the identity and origin of the parasite is still unclear in both anime and manga. Also the author of Attack on Titan never mentioned anything about the parasite too.
