Solo Leveling Anime Might Change Nationality Of Main Character, Sung Jin-Woo!

As we all know, Solo Leveling is finally getting an anime after long wait and endless rumours about its adaptation. Now, Studio A-1 can make or break it with their adaptation that needs to be sharp and perfectly suited for Solo Leveling. However, there’s one thing that could create controversies and that’s the change in the nationality of Solo Leveling main character.

Sung Jin-Woo is the main character of the web novel turned webtoon Solo Leveling. Before being illustrated to Solo Leveling by Redice Studio, the series was originally a well-known South Korean web novel known under the name, Only I Level Up.

Now that Solo Leveling is getting an anime they need a source and for the source A-1 studio will follow the recently released Japanese Solo Leveling light novel.

Many fans have spotted some little changes that were shown in Solo Leveling anime trailer which points out that there might be change in main character’s nationality.

Solo Leveling is basically Korean series and Japan is shown as a bad guy who consistently tries to back stab Korea whenever they get the chance. In the trailer, the name of main character, Sung Jin-Woo was changed to Shun Mizushino.

There are many changes in Japanese Solo Leveling light novel but we are not sure what Studio A-1 has planned for the anime. So let’s just wait for the anime and keep the hype for the long waited anime adaptation.

  1. That Japanese studio should suck it up and draw japan getting smashed to pieces or just pull out of the contract.

  2. If they hate it so much that Japan was pictured as the bad guy , they could have just create a fictive nation instead of changing the whole show…
