A few days ago on Thursday, DBS: Super Hero had earlier screening in theaters of North America and it grossed over $4 Million, surpassing the early screenings of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 and Demon Slayer: Mugen Train.
Nowadays, Thursday night previews are counted in the opening day too. It is not really a “day” even if it’s called So. Every movie counts Thursday previews and Friday for the Opening Day count.

DBS: Broly has huge promotion and it collected $9.8M from 1,250 screens on its opening day. That’s the three times less screens than Super Hero.
Not only DBS: Super Hero surpassed hit anime movie like Jujutsu Kaisen 0 & Demon Slayer: Mugen Train on opening day at US box office but also successful broke the 23 years old record as “Best Opening day of all time for an anime”.
For the past 23 years, ‘Pokemon The First Movie’ was holding the first position in biggest anime opening day at US Box Official and now DBS: Super Hero has topped the list and became the best opening day of all time for an anime.
One more important thing, nowadays the ‘opening day’ is includes Thursday night previews and Friday collection.
