“Kaguya-sama: Love is War” Shows Dragon Ball Super Reference In Episode 1

Kaguya-sama: Love is war anime is back again after a long wait of around 2 years since the finish of season 2. Fans were waiting for season 3 since then and it has finally arrived on anime streaming platforms yesterday. In the first episode of Kaguya-sama: Love is War season 3, they included reference to the popular anime, Dragon Ball Super.

Season 3 of Kaguya-sama feels just like previous seasons but even more stuffed with quality and comedy. It’s still well directed as ever and the jokes are uncomfortably relatable. I just love how they decided to reference Super Saiyan mode and Tournament Of Power scene from Dragon Ball Super.

The episode consists of like three different cut scenes full of comedy. First scene is all about Yu Ishigami’s efforts to stop Miko Iino from playing the music in her phone because due to poorly attachment of earphones cable to the phone everyone in the room could hear what she was listening to.

The second cut scene is all about the chat interaction between Kaguya Shinomiya and her friends including Miyuki Shirogane.

The third cut scene is about finding the strongest council member by doing arm wrestling tournament. It was this scene in which they showed Dragon Ball Super anime reference.

Miyuki Shirogane and Chika Fujiwara both went Super Saiyan while trying to defeat eachother. And in the arm wrestling between Shirogane and Kaguya, the scene shifted to the “Tournament Of Power” arena from Dragon Ball Super.

Fans loved the Dragon Ball Super reference in Kaguya-sama: Love is war season 3.

The influence Dragon Ball had on the modern anime is crazy and can’t be overlooked. Are you a Dragon Ball fan? Comment down and let us know, also share this article with your friends.
